WHAT TO EXPECT

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WHEN I COME?

What should I wear?
We are much more concerned about what’s going on inside of a person, than what they are wearing on the outside. Some of our folks dress up, but most show up in jeans. So don’t worry about it. Just come as you are. God is not looking for us to put on a show. He is looking for us to be real and authentic.

What’s the worship like?
You will probably notice that our worship doesn’t have any instruments. Our goal with our music is ultimately to be singing songs that enable us to say, “Thank You!” to our Lord and Savior Jesus and to encourage each other so that we can sing songs with our life as we serve throughout the week. You will also notice that we center our worship around Communion. Communion is our time each week to reflect on the love and sacrifice of Jesus and to connect as a family. It is both personal and communal. Our communion is open to all believers.

What is the overall church like?
We are a friendly, energetic group here at the Canadian CC. We strive to make you feel welcome and help you connect with God. We understand that going to any place new can be uncomfortable, that’s why we try very hard to help you feel at home while you visit us. If we make a mistake let us know. But most of all, join us in praise to God for his grace and mercy though Jesus!

 --- Shepherds

We believe that the Bible clearly tells us to have shepherds/elders lead the local congregation (1 Peter 5, 1 Timothy 3). These men are dedicated to leading like the good shepherd – Jesus.
